@unsensibled i know you posted this 2 months ago, i still just want to say that this is Olympic taekwondo. Meaning is just to get points. Not damgae to opponent the opponent. Also hitting to the head is illegal. And elbow blocking is illegal in Olympic taekwondo. So the reason they keep their hands down is because they want to protect the point area, and if they keep their hands up they could block with the elbow which is forbidden. Hope I helped i undestand :)

Family Lopez are so rude. Physically fit but mentally ill. They show no respect. I love the way Steven Lopez was KO in Mexico. I was there. He didn't even win the first fight against Iran but he received the favor of the judges. Therefore in the second fight he failed against UK. They have won many fights because they are strong but also because of their bad attitude and lack of respect. By the way, the coach is a disgrace, it is true, as well as Mark Lopez.

People really spar like this an succeed? This is so Weird i was never taught to spar this way. Their hands are down all the time and they are always leaning in with their head making it an easy target. I was always taught to lean back and keep my arms up, even when i kick. Also, if they come at you and try to unload with a fury of kicks + punches or just lay on you like they did in this, it's easy to just side kick them back. Even if they block it pushes them away. Idk just looks unorganized
