Yeah, it's well known that majority opinion (vast majority opinion) is in favor of reinstating the death penalty. And for good reason. We just have to be careful how we follow it through. Pieces of garbage like Clifford Olsen and Paul Bernardo clearly deserve it. Why the hell wouldn't they? FUCK mental illness and people who can't rationalize. That's their problem, and their crimes are still their fault.

canadians who were polled actually the vast majority of them wanted to see the death penality reenstated so this video is senseless! If you could loose your life for raping children maby that would stop...for example I was a neighbour to Tori Stafford in Woodstock Ontario and I seen what happened to her what rights did she have??? or her family have....

i also believe in extreme cases for life without parole to be given to anyone 26 or over, since by their mid 20's 99% of people should know that aggravating murder and serious harm is wrong. those who not only pre plan a murder but also are cruel and mutilate or willfully make the person suffer should get life without parole. if the person is an escapee, or had been paroled before for a similar crime or ordered his friends or assassins to do it after he got caught should get death.

just as i don't generally support euthanising animals or aborting the unborn i don't generally support the death penalty unless the person is deemed too dangerous to live. i never look at sentencing as a way of compensation, justice or revenge. i look it more in the conditions of the crime, why the crime was committed and what type of person did it. those that may have mental illness and can't rationalise would then get slightly more lenient sentencing while the rest get tougher sentences.

in my opinion in most cases murder should be only a matter of a small number of years. since most murders occur as 2nd degree, murder while in a heated argument or as juveniles. i don't support life without parole for juveniles however i don't support the idea of letting them go free at 21 either if the crime is serious enough since it won't really teach the juvenile anything. in most multiple homicide cases i believe the sentence should be 25 year consecutive terms or life with no parole.

@johnnyroyale00 man, the canadian who is going to be execute in Montana killed two innocent persones back in 1982, the guy deserve the death penalty and why is Capital punishment wrong? It is not, because is JUSTICE nad those who are agains Capital Punishment are in FAVOR of criminals. Let the Conservatives bring back the GALLOWS, it will teach to all those Rapist and Murderes the trully meaning of Justice. Go conservatives, bring back the ROPE!!!!

This is crap. It doesn't suggest that the Conservatives want to revisit capital punishment. The quotes either have no context, or if read (yes I know liberals can't read), suggest the exact opposite.

You can use profanities and insinuate anything you wish, but when you do so, you illustrate reasons why you're not for reasonable discussion and should not be reasonably responded to. Being charitable, I will respond however; if one cares to google such articles as referenced you would find each quote is in context to what preceded it.

When one chooses to go into another country, kill two people, and expect not to be subject to the laws of that state, I have a hard time showing remorse, especially when he shows no empathy either. As for this video, when the narrator starts putting words in the mouths of tories: "the message that the conservatives want to re-establish the death penalty", this video loses all credibility in my opinion.

For the last 40 years Canada has been standing up for Canadians abroad. Laws in other countries are frequently wrong, that's why our laws are different. We don't allow Canaians to be killed. Case closed.
