I was on CNN this afternoon to discuss the Wall Street bailout package. I followed New York Sen. Chuck Schumer (D), and noted that we shouldn't be surprised that the Senator representing Wall Street supports $700 billion for Wall Street.

  • "I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies . . .

If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around [the banks] . . . will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered —Thomas Jefferson

  • Completely agree with David Sirota. There's no reason that this bailout actually address the people at the bottom and give them a lift up. We've just experienced 7 1/2 years of the top getting all the help and look at the mess we're in. Where's FDR when you need him?

  • I wish more of our congressmen would listen to him and to Michael Moore. They both have such good suggestions.

  • David Sirota books are so filled with wonderful information -- I wish every candidate read his books; our country would be better off.

    Thanks, David
