i hate this 90's and onwards college ska . prince buster was the shit - also the skatalites , millie small , ethiopians and a lot more kickass stuff from trojan records . only trojan skinheads are real skinheads

SKA originated in Jamaica in the 50's. 1st Wave and Prince Buster. IT was the precursor to rocksteady and reggae. The Mods picked it up in the early 60's. The 2nd Wave began in the 70's. The Specials, The Beat, Madness etc. 2nd Wave Ska was multiracial hence 2Tone records. But the racist Skinheads spoiled it all with their rioting and club fights. A later 3rd Wave happened in the 90's with mostly american bands jumping in. England had moved on by then and was trancing it's way to oblivion.
