  • Not all things with quality have a price. Take a look at Ubuntu, it's impeccable! OpenOffice is taking 15% of market share today and Microsoft Office takes 65% and WordPerfect takes the rest.

  • @newecreator agreed, a lot of free games pwn paid games

  • @TheDailyNewsPost Quite a 'Comment Fight' you got here, last week.

  • @newecreator I know right, he finally pissed off this comment page. This trolling war went on over the course of 4 days. It was actually fun! XD

  • so 151MB is a lot for you? you must have the world's slowest connection.

  • Open office is better then MS WORD

    - More options

    - The open-office team is more specialized in Writing programs then Microsoft

    - Word sucks

  • may i add that the new Microsoft Office formats (.docx, .pptx, .xlsx, etc.) are only fully compatible with Microsoft Office products. OpenOffice can open these formats, but it cannot save in these formats. A .docx takes up less memory than .doc and maybe even .pdf.

  • @Nurdoidz .doc is such a standard as a green tires. Word document format standard is ODF - Open Document Format for Office Applications. Its an ISO standard.

  • On a homework assignment,my friend used open office and ended up with a piece of paper with a heading on top and some writing.I ended up with a cool looking 5 page essay with an awesome cover page.Microsoft office wins.Fatality.

  • I am very familiar with Microsoft Office 2003, 2007, & 2010, AS WELL as Open Office. Open Office is great, I used it when I couldn't afford MS Office. But there was one thing you said on this comparison -- and that was "compatibility." I don't know if you know it, but .doc is the UNIVERSAL word processor document file, and Microsoft Word is fully compatible in that. I got confused about that. Oh yeah, nice choice, Word dominates ;)

  • @honussa I'm pretty sure I said free as in freedom. Office 2010 is the least user friendly and also the most buggy.

  • @Tununias In North Korea food, housing, work and everything else is free!! Go to North Kore dude!!

Have you ever worked in a company - or in teamwork? As a student I used Open office all the time until I realized how bad it really was after having gotten a free copy of MS office.

Office 2010 for windows is undebatabely the best office program on the market. Then comes Iwork by Apple, which is badly developped and has lots of flaws (I had iwork 08). But OO is really the bottom end of crap.

  • Free (as in Freedom) Software will always be better than proprietary software.

  • Very good review. Personally I prefer OpenOffice and I am tired of being a slave to Microsoft word trials to get my school work done xD

Do you troll because you have no sense of self worth and insult others to make yourself feel better? If you do troll (which is obviously apparent), even YOU know you are a worthless piece of racist shit. Degrading someone on the grounds of they are from a different country or sound different is unacceptable everywhere. Please go away.
