hey lostwsawyer246 don't worry about trying to not tell people that your taking prozac, I'm a pharmacist and literally 1/2 of all the adults in my community are taking 1 or more SSRI's they are all the rage these days. Glad its working for you, just remember its not a magic bullet, part of growing up for us at all ages is learning how to better process our emotions especially the painful ones. There's tons of good books out there to read about the subject, check out Barbara Brennan, good luck

@vajkosd Boy where were we before ssri's. We are more evolved now which, thank god, led us to our dependency (oh I mean discovery) of mind altering drugs. The cavemen must have just been depressed all the time. And the natives they had to suffer centuries without our prozac savior. Our entire history must have been suicidal and depressed. Thank god for the advent of television and prozac! Now we are all safe under eli lily's wing, protected by our caring medical system. Thank god...

shes gonna be a nurse-by time shes 35 she ll be nurse from hell-just quit whatever abuse goes on- no sweets no coffee- lots magnesium calcium-works for me-and meditation breathing-nature walks - read desiderata each morning and nite and- stay away from men- 7 out 10 admit be ing violent-5 of 10 admit would rape if could get away with it-like with a young or daughter of poor or single mother -weaker

@lmollot not sure I'm understanding everything you say here! Im now a 2nd yr mental health nurse so i try to be more understanding because ive been through depression. I agree we couldnt just use medication, need to try other things well, but it is needed for some people. Such negative views about men? Yes people do have bad experiences but there not all the same? Thanks for yr interesting comments x

@lostwsawyer246 What you mean by "going through depression" is probably "going through malnourishment and lack of exercise and lack of enjoyment of nature". When is the last time you swam in the cold ocean? Or climbed a mountain or ran a mile or used a bike? Every health problem in this country is a result of poor health which is a result of poor eating and exercise. Taking drugs does not make you healthy. General health and well being does not come in a pill. It is in your way of life.

@lmollot So your solution to your depression is to stay away from men... That is a brilliant idea. Maybe if everyone did that our population problem would fix itself. Um yes all men are rapists and disgusting pigs, I couldn't agree more. Men actually are the only problem with this world. Just stay away from them and you will be ok. God our creator made men so god is bad too... Just fumigate them all. Join this war on men... Fight the rapist pigs!! They are Nazis too kill em all!

@musicispower25 my daughters big sister is 8. Her doctor saw her once and prescribed prozac based on her mothers stress and belief that she is unruly and obnoxious at times. He said she may be depressed and was prescribed 10 mg. That is until a friend described how prozac made her nearly kill her own grand children on only 5mg. That along with the mountain of evidence that I have found that proves that ssri's are very dangerous for most people was enough to discontinue that garbage.
