if you see some of the other regeonal music you notice it sounds ALOT like the ruins song, in fact listen to the nackground melody it sounds like the ruins one.

The game's soundtrack was composed by Hiroki Kikuta. Kikuta incorporated elements of Balinese music into the score, which include gamelan and kecak.

WTF? It means that the video game developers HAVE culture so they included it in a video game. It is simply a comparison. You know, video games can be a wonderful piece of modern culture too. I think you're overeacting. lol. I mean seriously. I simply made a comparison based on the fact that it sounds similar to a track in a video game. It really isn't that big of a deal. It means this culture inspired them.
