How bout' somebody describe to us what scales and modes he is soloing over that E Major chord...?
Ha ha. I doesn't end in E Major though, does it....
He is so "non-cliche" with his playing. He doesn't resolve like most rock guitarists, he plays more like a keyboardist or a sax player. He doesn't use a lot of vibrato. Rarely does he RH tap. He doesn't use flatted fifths to sound "bluesy" ~ he carefully chooses unorthodox notes almost in a chromatic way - he has a very calculated outside feel

I wonder what effects are his favorites?
-
and to think i read somewhere that he's not too proud of this recording :))
-
if only he sounded like this in megadeth
-
seriously just teared a little bit
-
god... i could listen to him play forever.

@zzzhuh Its okay bro. He was amazing, I could not believe it. I never saw him down, or play a bad night. he gives it everything, I miss seeing him and the band.
Don't ever mention Kirk and Chris in the same breath. Kirk couldn't play one line of what Chris is doing here. He is an absolute hack next to Poland; who's phrasing and skill are on a level very rarely achieved by any guitar player of any genre. Chris is the guitar equivalent to a 7th degree black belt in Karate, while Kirk would be a blue belt. End of conversation.
