  • I love silent movies, in particular the pre war films of Weimar Germany, Babelsberg. It was such a frantic time, people just wanted to live 100 percent, I guess, after that terrible war of 1914-18, that butchery, a few short years of some sort of normality, right up until the Nazis took over. Then it all died, and the living hell started over.
