Well, people whose primary language is English just don't understand how can someone NOT understand sometimes some questions.
In reality though, speaking two or more languages is much more important than speaking perfect English. Sorry English-speakers this is a global world, people speak french, spanish, german, italian, chinese,. arabic, japanese, russian....

For my opinion, Dion did understand the damned question but faked to not. The question was a heavy good one and he never expected that. You can see that he was really caught by surprise. Being unable to answer it, he acted like dumb and tried to get away from it like all politicians do. So in short terms, he totally FAILED. Now for having posted this embarrassing video on TV, if CTV would have not done it, some people would have complained for censorship.

The question IS confusing.
It's extremely distasteful that CTV would broadcast this. These types of things happen all the time in interviews.

Same question now.........Ignatieff can't answer. He never says what he'll do. LPC needs a real honest leadership convention. one vote per member and 25% for unions.
just like the NDP.
Dion saw the trap...and did what he could....

It's probably one of the most convoluted questions I've ever heard on broadcast TV. Christ Murphy, get someone to vet those questions first.

...ok people. you've got to take it he is Bilingual...and he interprets the question differently.I am aware that it is an easy question...but he just didn't interpret it the same way we would normally. And i think that it was not necessary to post this video onto CTV news. It was a lack of respect and trying to humiliate Stephane Dion for no reason.
