"This is a furin wind chime that rings even if there is no wind. It has a built-in sensor, and is designed to react when people pass by. As well as the sensor, it has timer that can be set to ring 5, 15, 30 or 60 minutes. The bell part is traditional Arita-yaki porcelain, and is entirely hand-painted."

"The stand is made of natural wood. Because it's battery-operated, you can place it anywhere: in the entrance hall or the living room or even at the reception desk in a store."

"The wind chime was released in November 2010, but as it's a seasonal product sales only really began to sell from around July 2011. We have sold between 40 and 50 so far.

"We are currently selling the wind chime through the ceramics firm in Arita, and on our own website. We are also planning to market it at overseas gift fairs."
