  • Glenn, Just returned from India for knee surgery. The surgeon who performed the surgery was educated in Chicago and worked there for several years. After that he worked in Germany before returning to India. The hospital is accreditated by the International Joint commision. Surgery went well and also had injections of synvisc (1 per knee). The dr. in the states wanted $2000 per injection for that, $300 in India. Saved over $40,000. by going to Indai and that included phys. therapy.

  • Governemnt healthcare inevitably fails. There is no need to wonder. If it comes from Washington Demoncrats, it's definitely going to be FUBAR.

  • Andy Stern = Biggest POS on the planet next to Hussein Obama!

  • Medical tourism in India is a $2Bn industry with bone-marrow transplant, cardiac bypass surgery, eye surgery and hip/knee joint amongst the most popular. It's the next big thing with westerners coming by the dozen and growing almost 30%/year.

The lady in the video represents half the US population who cant afford insurance costs for Medicare etc, and has to wait 12-18 mnths for an appointment only to shell out $40k, which would cost $5k in here.

Shame on you Glen, rasict buffoon

  • He seems a little drunk, not that i ain't...

  • Also, Glenn doesn't seem to understand is that any type of service will be cheaper in India because the cost of living is very low .. any item's cost will be far less in India then it will be in US.

Ex. a coffee at starbucks may cost 3 dollars in India it costs 0.5 dollars ... this is just due to the exchange rate diff. of th countries.. its basic common sense.

  • itz really provoking

  • The doctors in many of these other countries don't pay huge insurance premiums if they pay anything at all. Also the drug companies charge hugely inflated prices to doctors and hospitals in the US and sell at great discounts overseas. Furthermore the standard of living is higher here. The price of medical care will be the same as india when all americans live like indians do - in utter poverty.

  • the biggest problem we have in the united states is the insurance they have to pay it really drives the prices up.

  • hey america still hates the doc because making 150k is to much money for one person..The average american doesn't understand anything about overhead because they have the government paying for all of there stuff

  • very true
