Small portion of Maori Queen Te Arikinui Dame Te Atairangikaahu's final trip (15km) down the Waikato River in Tainui's waka to Taupiri mountain, where she was then laid to rest. Hers was escorted by six other waka's. (sorry about the shaking!)

  • Get a grip all you racist idiots. This is a respectful send of to the Queen of a proud and strong people. This is not a soap box to whinge about things that happened eons ago. We are most of us mongrels. I call myself English but i have Irish, Welsh, Scottish and Portuguese ancestry. Look to the future and stop bitching about the past.

  • @matmatoo The brits (english ) have even tried to kill of Wales' own language and culture ....................kids in Wales were caned in school for speaking their own langauge in their own country - fukin english!

  • the boats remind me of the snake boats races in god's own counry of kerala.especially the snake boat races in the enchanting backwaters of Alleppey .The boat races in kerala always fine tune itself with the harvest festival of Onam.A Himalayan Kiora to all my lovely jubbly Maori Mates.Cheers.
