Flamenco dance lesson 1: Zapateado por tango
This lessons focuses on the Zapateado as a rhythmic tapping combination of sounds made with the heel and toe of the shoe. Zapateado is a typical flamenco form of tap and is derived from the Spanish word Zapato (shoe). The learned combination, going from slow to fast, has the following sequence: toe, heel, heel, toe, heel, heel, toe, heel
Currently this type of flamenco footwork is integrated in most styles, both men and women, sometimes leaving the guitar in silence to emerge along with the other elements of accompaniment at the time of its greatest intensity or remate.
