This is a short video compile of a solar concentrator photovoltaic electricity energy system in remote Lajamanu NT. It is one of four solar power stations currently operating in remote Australia.

The system uses mirrors in the shape of a dish to reflect sunlight into a central collection point. Highly efficient photovoltaic cells converts the sunlight into electricity; where it is then converted, stored and to and exported to the local grid.

These types of power stations compliment the existing diesel generating sets that are commonly used in remote communities. In doing so, the systems help reduce power operating costs, greenhouse emissions and pollution in these areas.
