Very good. Another thing I was thinking when watching this is that, I forgot who says it, but someone says "Christians always walk up to the cross, but how many people get on their cross?"

Paul Washer says dead men can't hear or understand the Gospel (the Voice of Jesus). So what's the point in preaching the Gospel to the unregenerate? Must they first be regenerated (resurrected, made alive) before they can hear (like Lazarus)? That would mean that the unregenerate must first be saved before they can believe the Gospel and be saved. That sounds ludicrous (if you are hear what I'm saying).

We need to preach the gospel to ourselves everyday lest we forget that we are wretched sinners in need of a Savior. It helps us remember but by the grace of God go I. It helps us speak the truth in love. It is not a one time thing to accept and now let's move on to greater things. No, it is THE thing.

Did you hear the flying teapot rose from the dead too? Amazing!!!

YouTube comments stink for theological discussion.
I hereby refuse to continue because I consider you a brother in Christ, and our comments back and forth inevitably appear inflammatory. This topic is too complicated to intelligently discuss 375 characters at a time. I'd like my gentleness be be evident to all, and assume the same for you.
Feel free to direct msg or email me if you'd like to continue our discussion.

Christians are BOTH new creations &still sinners. Paul says "of whom I AM the worst," not was. The sin problem in the church will not go away without Christ's return.
Sinners=people who sin. Sinners need a Savior, not just a label change. Your standing before God is clear: that's justification. But your spirit is not perfect, brother. That's gnosticism.

@ele12957returns - Paul did say "of whom I AM the worst." Not "I WAS the worst."
Don't confuse Justification with Sanctification. We can be free from the PENALTY and POWER of sin, and not yet be free from the PRESENCE of sin. NT sinner/saints with the Spirit include the racist Apostle Peter ("condemned" in Gal 2:11ff) and Apostle John (1 Jn. 1:10).
Save something for glorification, brother!
I don't like doing this via YouTube comments. But I'd love to chat. Direct msg me to continue?

@dedred5 Where did you read I don't need to confess? My status in Christ is I'm sinful but not a sinner. You focus on sin you will sin.Christ is for devotion not constant repentance.Read Gal 2;12 ,14 Christ is not a minister of sin.Pastors who keep their people in the cycle of sin give no liberty to be led by Spirit but rather by law.I'm not wicked, under God's wrath or in the constant immaturity of repentance Hebrews 6:1,2

@polopowers1 You feel no need to ask for forgiveness or to repent of sin after you were born anew? Are you saying that you no longer sin, or that at the point of your regeneration all your sins were forgiven even the ones you have yet to confess and address.

The gospel is the deepest of all mysteries and can never been "moved past." We will marvel at the work of Christ for all eternity.
