The Falkirk Wheel is the spectacular centrepiece of the £84.5 million 'Millennium Link', the UK's largest canal restoration project, developed by British Waterways to reconnect the Union Canal with the Forth & Clyde Canal, re-establishing east to west coast access for boats.

Wow! Thanks for the posting. What an amazing structure! I was in England in June on some of the canals around Leeds, the Rochdale, Calder and Hebble. Sure didn't know this thing existed. I think they are a great asset for your country!! Aloha from Honolulu!

I'd heard of the Falkirk Wheel, but had never seen it in action. As they say in the UK, it's BRILLIANT!

i have been there in July i saw it when we were  on "road trip" around UK and its amazing.

P.S.: I really liked Scotland and your language. Hopefully i will come to Scotland again next year (but now only Scotland) :)
