Set up my Antron 99 ground mounted vertical with home brew radial kit proved to be kick as. Mounted at the right height and enough radials for portable operation gave me the edge. Proper low angle take off I believe was achieved.
I used a Heil Pro Set 4 DX element with the FT-817. I used a new app for my IPhone to combine a compilation of vids. Looking forward for 2013 I have new antenna ideas that will rock. Hope to out in more time into each contest.
Most memorable QSO's for this contest was working ON4UN and WG0AT. Thanks John (God Father of low band DX) and Steve (QRP, SOTA GURU). 73!
@maurilucca - Not sure if your asking a question or quoting something I said. The receiver on the FT-817 is what it is. For CW with filter I find it very pleasing. It's no IC-7000! 73!

Thank you! You can see the vertical closer in detail in my other videos. I can even tune this same 10meter vertical with lots of success down to 17 meters. 73 and enjoy!

Whats up Colt! The yagi is a portable 6m-20m yagi by Super Antenna's model YP-3. It's mono band on 6m and 10m. You can see a closer view in some of my other vids. I love it!
