Suena bien ese bajo...

lmao, I'm using Seymour duncan Quarter Pounder precision pickups, and the Billy Sheehan Will power pickup from Dimarzio in the neck position. I also want everything to be passive. You should keep in touch so I can show you how my custom bass turns out. I think you's really appreciate it. From one big fart to another, take good care...lol

not just a amazing lookin bass but a amazingly good player playing it.
-
ok sorry thanks
-
There's an explanation of all that above in the comments.
-
did you wire them for single/double or just double?
i do see three toggles, im guessing 2 coil taps and a series parallel, or maybe something along the lines of a mid boost.
-
They're Fat Stacks
-
are those pups big singles or fat stacks?
im considering a set and they look pretty dam cool.
-
interesting... now that you mention it, it does sorta sound like that. It's actually just improve. I always have liked Joe Cocker.

Thanks Man! I'm actually waiting on some Nordstrand dual coils instead of the fat stacks that are currently on the bass. With the dual coils the switches from top to bottom are Neck(series/single coil/parallel),Bridge(ser/sin/
par), Battery kill switch. The knob layout (clockwise starting at knob near bridge) is: Piezo/Mag Blend, Neck/Bridge Blend, Master Vol (down active,up passive), Mid (down 400hz, up 800hz), Stacked Concentric Bass/Treble. The preamp is an aggie obp-3 and bart piezo buffer. -
Maan I really like the switch setup, what are those active/passive, killswitch, and series/parallel?
That switch/knob configuration is fresh, never seen anyone have it set up like that, and I also really like the fact that you pay attention to details, like the Bass cleff inlay, that adds a whole lot of class to the bass without being overly complicated.
I would probably buy one.

wow....
hey, what kind of wood r u using?
i mean, those basses r made up from what wood?
mahagony?
ulyssessamson 4 years ago
I use many different types of wood. The bass I'm playing in the video has a 5pc maple/wenge neck, goncalo alves fretboard w/ curly maple binding, white ash body w/ a spalted maple burl top... that's most of it.

You know I love the bass, and the person playing is amazing, but I kind of get sick of the all those Jaco Pastorious farty percussive players. There was only one Jaco, but all these other players want to be Jaco clones. I can't stand that tone

Well... I play what I like and frequently that means farty percussive lines. What do you like?
Fart on!
