Tropical storm Fay passed over Key West on the afternoon of August 18, 2008. The storms tropical storm force winds (which gusted to 70mph at times) affected the Keys for an extended period of time. I chased this storm with veteran storm chasers Jim Leonard and Mike Laca. It was my first real tropical system and one of the most awesome experiences of my life (so far). I wasn't expecting to see any thing even close to what I saw.
