This is a 20 minute time-lapse video of stratocumulus cap clouds flowing over the summit of Mt. Jefferson below us and to the north, filmed from the Mt. Washington Observatory.

Mount Washington Observatory is a nonprofit, membership-supported research and educational institution with a mission to advance understanding of the natural systems that create Earth's weather and climate. Since 1932, the Observatory has been observing Mount Washington's incredible extremes, conducting scientific research, educating the public about the science of weather and climate and amassing one of North America's longest and most unique climate records. • Nice time lapse. Check out mine taken from down below near the Mount Washington Hotel.

  • Great video!!! I can't wait to ski Tuckerman's Ravine in a few weeks. I am going to ski down the ravine, top to bottom totally butt naked! If it is chilly I may put a sock on Mr. Winky.

  • Just beautiful. Keep the videos coming guys. I can't wait to take a drive up there when you open up to the public in the spring. Been living in the Northeast for years, always fascinated by weather and yet to take the trip, but your videos have made up my mind. Can't wait. -devon
