Chairman Emeritus of Energy and Commerce Committee, John Dingell (D-MI), calls cap and trade as it is: Nobody in this country realizes that cap and trade is a tax, and its a great big one.
I agree, in the past 8 years, Republicans have introduced some of the worst legislation ever made. However, in the past 2 years, the democrats have done worse than any country in the history of time. They're looking to do worse.
Our government does not help the poor, welfare keeps poor people, poor.
Granted, there are some people who truly need help, however the VAST majority of people on welfare are there because its easy, and they have been taught that its OK to allow the government to take care of you, instead of being fruitful with your life and contributing to society.
Us libertarians don't want to drop all welfare right away, but create reform until welfare is no longer needed in our economy.
For example let's pretend the Libertarians are the opposition. I'd likely value their input on social issues like legalizing marijuana but I sure as hell wouldn't take up their economical ideas that pretty much consist of screwing the poor.
I hear you joe, in all honesty i probably hate the republican party more than you do. The system would work, however both parties have wandered so far from the ideas of our founding fathers, that neither republican nor democrat has any right to criticize the other party, because it would be hypocrisy.
But the idea of totally dismissing one party forever is absurd.

"How can we exploit America to make our cronies richer"-Republicans
I'd be willing to listen to an opposition party if they weren't bent on destroying America.

Yeah that's a great way to run a republic, completely destroy the entire bases that it was founded upon. Go America.
"Remember, democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself."

"Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote!"
