You're right, movies do show a narrow minded point of view.

Oh I believe it, but honestly, if I go by the movies I've watched like rain man or mercury rising with Bruce Willis, then it's a very narrow point of view.

I now have a better understanding of the auto-immune disease called Autism, and I thank you for that, it's very insightful.
But I must say that I never viewed Autistic people as handicapped, or like Raymond Babbit.

Thank you for that. There is a whole community of autistic's that seldom get media coverage. I thought this video by the CBC was excellent in showing a different perspective - a necessary one.
The character Raymond Babbit was based on a real life autistic by the name of Kim Peek.
