Oh and a response, "Federal Reserve policy is the most important determinant of the money supply. The Federal Reserve affects the money supply by affecting its most important component, bank deposits."

Once again I will repeat.... "The Federal reserve policy is THE MOST IMPORTANT determinant of the money supply." Consider that right now the Secretary of the US Treasury, Timothy Geithner, used to be the President of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. They don't own the policy makers in Washington, they ARE the policy makers in Washington. Jeez, you really taught me eh? LOL.
