  • Victoria is extremely thin herself, too thin so it's odd to hear her talk about the issues with thin models when she fits that image entirely.

  • Elizabeths' voice hurts my ears everytime she talks!!

  • @greenbutterfly101 What weight is she and how do you know? I'm a medic, and while I really don't advise or promote being underweight, some people ARE just small and quite happy with it. She doesn't look unhealthy to me.

  • @SaffronCicely she is medically under weight

  • I don't think Victoria is unhealthily skinny - but she's very slim yes. I bet she's healthier than the average US size 12-14 woman. Average does not mean healthy. We always hear about how skinny is unhealthy, but so is being overweight. Reasonably slim is the healthiest thing.

I think she's right - we should be promoting HEALTHIER sizes. Not extremes at either end - not too skinny and not too fat.

  • BMI may not be perfect, but I think it's a good place to start. At the end of the day if you know that you're healthy and you're at a good weight for you, your height, your shape, etc. then carry on.

  • They have the power to come back, but not to be heard again.

  • @taliptain They do that with everyone.

  • Lol at 'Most of these girls are naturally thin' Oh yeah! Like you Vic!

  • BMI is not an accurate measure of health as it doesn't take into account a person's frame nor does it differentiate between lean mass and body fat percentage. Certain athletes at the peak of health and fitness could be described as obese if we purely relied on the BMI assessment.
