America is not owned by rich white people, its owned by all of the hardworking people who make it to be the great country it is. It has its problems yes, but it is still great. My problem with Wright is that he seems to be living in the past. While I could understand a grudge, it still is unacceptable to act as if "white america" is all racist, which seems to be what he's implying. While racism does exist, its not nearly as bad as many people make it out to be.

wright's problem is that he is way too blunt for the mainstream population. all his talk of 'americas chickens coming home to roost' is regarding our hostile foreign policy.

'america of kkk' and 'god damn america' is in reference to jim crow. 'america is owned by rich white people' is, well, the truth.

i'm white, btw, but don't buy into much of the opinions of media.

No, what I'm saying is people like Louis Farricon and Reverend Wright are both pretty racist. I don't think there are many, if any white voters out there who won't vote for McCain because he's white.

Also, the argument that black voters have voted for white candidates for a while is irrelevant. Obama is the first major black candidate, and so of course blacks have voted for whites for a while.

I just think people should vote for people by the issues and character, not the skin color.

if you recall, the black vote is ALWAYS 80-90 percent in favor of the democratic candidate, ALWAYS.

blacks have voted for white candidates for decades. this time, the democratic candidate happens to be (half) black.

true, the black voters may be more enthusiastic this year, but make no mistake, if hillary won, she would have 80-90 percent of their vote.

Funny thing is, there's racism on both sides, but many people don't look at it that way. I don't see why it matters how people dress who vote for McCain or Obama. You should look at the candidates themselves and their issues. I support McCain, but am not a confederate. Face it Darwinx0101, you can't stereotype people like that no more than I can say all Obama supporters are black supremists.
