After reading an article in todays Sundy Mirror concerning General Sir David Richards.In the article,the General said that the preparations that were made for our Armed Forces entry into Helmand Province,were woefully inadequate and that ministers had underestimated the enemy.Now the General is being pressured into retracting or reassesing his comments,i feel obliged to defend the General.I have never served in the Armed Forces,and am at best an armchair tactician,but the general is right.
