Absynthe Minded is a Belgian rock band.
In august of 2009, the album Absynthe Minded was released in Belgium and The Netherlands.
The first two singles from the album were the tracks Envoi and Moodswing Baby.
After the release of Absynthe Minded the band was signed by the French Label AZ (Universal) for releases outside Belgium and The Netherlands.
The lyrics are based upon a poem by Hugo Claus

Jan Duthoy (Hammond, piano)
Sergej Van Bouwel (double bass, bass guitar)
Jakob Nachtergaele (drums)

    The chorus is the only slow part, and its the same as it was the first few times he sang it. Stop complaining lol.

    The lyrics are the translation of a poem written by Hugo Claus, who is a Flemish poet. Although it's hard to say what the poem is really about, a general interpretation would be that he his leaving his poems for the world, he is sending (=envoi) them into the world. Consequently this poem was the last in a work of collected poems by him.

    that's nonsense. of coarse he knew he was going to hear this song, inclusive the lyrics on screen, it's in the title... he was only wishing the timing was a bit better, so you could see the lyrics just half a second before it's sung, and follow the lyrics smoother. Although the timing could have been worse imo.
