  • gowriji and vijayajii are singing to akhilandeshwari . . and the akhilandeshwari is singin to herself!! :-)))

  • I am a nonstarter in Carnatic music but this song and the legendary singer has bowled me.

  • The beauty of MS's performances is that she does not often render the sarale or elaborating the raga structure in terms of sa-re-ga, but concentrates on the sahitya. That allows a music illiterate like me to enjoy the kriti and the emotion she pours into the rendition simply by-passes the music part and goes to its primary purpose; i.e. the worship of the deity. One does not miss the sa-re-ga part of it at all. Thanks!

  • From her humble beginning to inspiring the entire nation,This woman was Krishna;s incarnatoon. With good looks and a capturing attitude. This woman spread peace and happiness.

  • so soothing,lovely,thanks!!

  • Vijaya Rajendran and Gowri Ramanarayanan

  • Can anyone tell me who the other two accompanying singers are?

  • The orange dot is a type of powder 9sindoor) mixed with either butter or ghee that is given to devotees when they visit some temples (especially hanuman ones) and the 'blue" is actually black that is ash from a havan (sacred fire ritual) that is given as "raksha" or protective blessing again mixed with a little ghee to make it stick to your forehead.

  • what do the blue and orange lines under the vermillion symbolize?
