Reunited With My First Nightmare - The Horror Never Ends

Well, as far as I can remember anyway, this is the very first PIF that scared the wits out of a five-to-seven-year-old me, which puts this somewhere in the late nineties (when I first saw it anyway - so it must have been up until the millennium. Applemask, the wind beneath my wings, tells me it was first cirulated in 1992.) I still find it very unsettling to this day, and I still imagine that the torn-open bag is somebody's leg, and let me tell you, it is really, really scary when that light in your bedroom goes out, and you clutch your teddy bear, and you squeeze your eyelids shut, fearing those horrible, horrible glinting yellow eyes. I'm not alone here, am I? Am I?

Issued by the Central Office of Information for Home Office, who can expect a strongly-worded but neatly typed complaint about this advert in the near future. Should I ever obtain their adress.

To be honest, I thought they weren't bad either. :)

Now, if they'd used HYENAS...well, it wouldn't hhave made much sense, but it would've been a damn sight scarier. Which was presumably the intention.

There was an even scarier variant on this one - there was a shot from inside the car of a dirty windscreen and once the narrator had said his thing, the wipers came on to reveal the hyena growling into the car...terrfiying.
