Listening to this for the first time was almost as amazing as listening to Blackest eyes by Porcupine Tree for the first time. I didn't know what to expect, was pleasantly surprised and instantly got hooked to the band.

OMG. That piano ending. Beautiful beyond words.......

First heard this song When I was 10. Gave me eargasms then, still gives me eargasms to this day. Blackwater park, is simply a masterpiece, but No words in any human language would be good enough to describe how fantastic this album is.
-
@Vds4You Okay, perhaps multiple eargasms all throughout the song.

8.16 is one of the subtlest time sig changes ever. 7/8 to 8/8, took me years to notice.
-
@EnragedSephiroth So you're saying the eargasm comes when the song ends? Doesn't sound like very good song. :D
@LyricsArFun
Step 1: Listen to the entire song
Step 2: Be amazed.

everytime i listen to Opeth I hear one or two things that I hadn't beforehand. They are constantly surprising me, and thanks to their top notch production not a single facet of their music is lost. After that fucking solo and then the little break, at around 3:20 Martin Lopez just smashes that Cymbal and it lingers, setting up the next riff perfectly. My god, you could pick out any millisecond of any of their songs and find something that would blow your mind.
