My $100 iMac G3 - first boot-up

I bought this iMac for 100 bucks on Ebay. So far it seems like a good machine for being 6 years old.

(Yes, I am retarded when it comes to the identification of the keyboard.)

How is a G3 in comparison with a Intel processor.

Because I have a Pentium 4 (which is pretty old) but it runs pretty fast because my computer is allmost empty.

I only have a few songs, anti-virus and yahoo/IM that's it.

So would it be something I could use everyday or is it a waste of money to buy one now.

The design is totally awesome tho.. I had a small TV once that looked like that!

@MrDunkJunk honestly, man....don't waste your time on a G3. It's quite an old computer...this video is almost 4 years old too. I probably would've told you not to waste your time back then, so it's even more true now. I'd stick with your Pentium 4 machine before getting one of these old things. They're cool, but really not useful anymore.

@MrDunkJunk I think haters are just a fact of life on the internet. I just ignore them or laugh at them. Yeah, the Apple computers look nice, but I wish they weren't so expensive and wish they had more practical designs.

$100 is a lot. I know this video is from 2007 and they are older now, but still. I usually get mine for about $30 at the very most, if not like 15-20 dollars or even for free.

Despite all the others on here elbowing you for getting "ripped", you actually did pretty good. The computer originally sold for well over $1300.00 when it initially came out and that was only like, 6 years ago? It's not "vintage" - Vintage implies that something is AT LEAST 20 years old or older. It's more like "Double-Oughts-Retroish", as you're still running an operating system that hasn't been completely abandoned (like, for instance, DOS, or Windows '98). A hundred bucks is a fair deal.

You got ripped off, I just brought a iMac G3 Snow for £20 from eBay and I'm only 14! I can get an iMac G4 off of eBay for around £100! ^_^

I got mine for $15 with a keyboard it soo weird cuz the mouse i got was $60 retail and the computer costs $15. Mine came with OS X 10.4.11 and it came with $100dreds of dollars of songs
