"No bastard ever won a war by dying for his country. He won it by making the other poor dumb bastard die for HIS country." One of my favorite lines from one of my favorite movies, by one of my favorite Actors, playing one of my greatest American heroes.

He's my hero and he's my dads hero. I some times say to myself I'm not proud to be a American, but when I look at him I say to myself. If we kicked ass at one point like he did, I bet we can do it again. And like my dad did I'm gonna join the armored divisions. R.I.P. George S. Patton Jr. You will live on in spirt. Old soldiers don't die, they just fade away. You are our spirit and hope, again. Rest in Peace.

George C. Scott is more of your ides of George S. Patton than George S. Patton.

Patton's trouble was that he didn't have the personal self discipline that a leader must have.

General Patton: " well, get back down there son your the only son of a bitch in this head quarters who knows what he's trying to do"

There's a strong hint of the theme music from Planet of the Apes in this score. Love the music from the film Patton. And of course General Patton was a great American.

My granddad said he was one of the meanest sons of bitches he ever met...and that he wouldn't have served under anyone else if given a choice.

I think it's worth mentioning that George C. Scott actually served in the Marines from the closing months of WWII, up until the eve of the Korean war. So it's a vet playing one of America's most noteworthy heroes. Only fitting, huh?
