Lee & Herring appear on Jack Docherty's old Channel 5 Chat Show in the late 90s promoting the second series of their show, "This Morning With Richard Not Judy".
This has been split into 2 parts due to YouTube's 10 minute rule - in the second part, they are joined by DJ Alan "Fluff" Freeman.
Thanks to Rachel for supplying these clips.

  • Controversially I prefer both of these guys on their own than together. I'm glad Richard Herring struck out on his own and Stewart Lee solo was always great. Herring's blog is aces - I'm getting the book version soon. Exciting for me!

  • You can see stewart lee thinking, why did we agree to come on this....

  • Listen from 1:03, listen to Stewart's reaction when Jack starts to mention TMWRNJ is coming back.

  • That audience didn't look like they were applauding that hard. :P

  • @greyreview 2:13 just about sums up his feelings on the matter

  • Yup Jack Docherty is defintely less entertaining than a man who goes under the name of 'Wee'... I gotta say though that it does take a peculiar set of skills to be a good chat show host. You've almost got to be a mildly entertaining non-entity in order to make it work. If your too funny you will eclipse the guest, if your not funny enough or free flowing enough in your conversation it stops dead. Most chat show hosts are ex comedians or entertainers who never quite made it with the material.

  • This is truly awful. I mean, the show & the format, and more importantly the presenter. Rich and Stew do their best through what is a painfully under-planned piece of television. No wonder it was axed.

  • The cancellation must of been due to the realisation that Docherty cannot improvise on his own chat show.

And Lee & Herring look soooooooooooooooooo young.

  • That was awful, apart from the use of the word 'wee'.

  • I quite forgot how shit the Jack Docherty Show was.

He was great on Absolutely etc, but as a chat show host he was a complete embarrassment.
