A mother alligator at Green Cay Nature Preserve helps her hatchlings out of the nest. If you watch closely, when she backs into the water after coming out of the nest she has 2 of her babies in her mouth. With the infants STILL in her mouth she lunges at a heron who is too curious about the new hatchlings. When she settles back into the water you can see one jump out her mouth and the other one swim out. A turtle laid eggs in the nest as well (they sometimes do) and you can see a baby turtle slide from the nest into the water. Awesome sight to see today!
