Well, base yourself in Pattaya, take a bus journey to Bangkok & have a short trip on a Tuk-Tuk, take a trip on the skytrain, go to Pantip Plaza, visit the Chaophyaya river in Bangkok. make sure you barter with everything or you will certainly get ripped off. Don't buy any Thai Bahts before you go. When you arrive at Bangkok change a little currency there then change the rest in Pattaya, slightly better rate there. Watch out for the scams such as hiring a jet ski or various other things. If hiriing a motorbike always wear the helmet to avoid fines from police. Drugs in Thailand are an absolute 'NO, NO' If you haven't booked a hotel yet I can recommend some good ones.

Some of the stuff is good quality. It is worth taking a trip to Bangkok if you get some time. Is it your first time out there ?
