Shakira is a poser. Not a real bellydancer. I've been dancing for over 10 years... so I think I know what im talking about.

This is belly dancing? I do not think so!
The only thing she uses is her hips....in belly dancing you also use your ribs (u isolate them from your hips). Also, she does not use her arms enough, they are just kind of there. And her veil work...TERRIBLE! She's holding the veil the wrong way and it is too loose.

This only looks like belly dancing to people who have no appreciation or knowledge of the true art.

Geez. People really overanalyze her dancing. Shakirah is a musician first and dancer second. Most importantly (IMO) she is an activist and advocate for people in need.

But skipping all that, she is becoming a better belly dancer as time rolls on-- just like it took time for Sadie, Ariellah, Rachel Brice, etc. And not for nothing, They don't divert their energy to the other things she does so OF COURSE they're better because they've focused on just dancing.
