@boxermommy erm, well- no. did you not notice how he only "snarled" when she touched his whiskers, funny that....

@pmz1981 All 5 of the boxers I've had over the past 15 years have play-growled. I know the difference between a play growl & a serious one. While I still can't say for sure what this particular dog's intentions are, & while he's generally being 'obedient', it's not clear that he's entirely happy with the finger in his face. He may be tolerating it, and he may never go further than twitch his lip due to his relationship with the finger's owner. But this is not 100% 'fun & games' for him.

@coconiooo Not a risk that might happen.
It's not a wild animal, it's a boxer. The kind of dog that could never harm his owner.

This is so cute!! My husband and I have a 10 month old boxer that loves to play like this. Boxers are one of the best breeds I have ever encountered. When we get him all hyped up and a growling and playing, all we have to do is say stop and he automatically starts licking and quits fighting. If dogs are raised and trained properly, the sterotypes that are associated with the breed doesn't matter. People need to grow up some saying the boxer looks like he wants to attack. You can tell hes playing

what a stupid owner! and what is the purpose of such idiotic task?? mind ur finger u might not see it again...

Just watched it 3 more times. He absolutely has *the look* in his eye when a dog is warning of an aggressive response. The growling & lip lift are a dead giveaway, but he's also freezing & staring. Sheesh, this is a serious bite just waiting to happen, if not to you then some kid who thinks it's fun to tease the dog for whatever reason
Teasing dogs who are displaying aggressive responses is not smart. Dogs get destroyed for aggression issues every day. This makes me a little mad, actually.

Ditto what XXXPLAY3XXX said. Good that he's waiting until you say it's okay to get the treat but *definitely* not good that he's vocalizing & lifting his lip - that's an aggressive response. Trust me, I've seen it before
He looks good, but think about getting some input from a reputable trainer about different types of aggression. If you're doing your job & you're a good leader, he should *not* be growling & displaying teeth. Even if you think it's "in fun" -- to him, it's serious business.
People that criticize boxer's obviously have no Idea of there awesome loyalty and their behavior!! People are so ignorant and need to do some research first, instead of writing whatever dumb ass comments come to their mind!! BOXERS ARE NOT AGGRESSIVE DOGS!! Their the most gentlest breed, and will never attack their owner or loved ones!! To those who said he was showing aggression, he's actually just playing! They play like that, and if he attacks, his bite is so gentle, it's like a nibble!

@boxermommy WRONG! My boxer growls when he want to play. When I or someone comes in the door he finds his rope toy and starts growling wanting to play tug o war.
