Well... its nearly 2010 now and despite all the hard work:
1. there's still no WiMAX in the Wash DC area
2. Sprint's WiMAX/Xohm has been sloughed off to ailing Clearwire
3. Many of these folks have had to move on

I am counting down in XOHM! It's launching this spring in Chicago, Baltimore and DC, and lucky me I live in the DC-area. I can't wait until finding hot spots are a thing of the past

So far the talk is that it'll commercially launch in late-April.

WiMAX is the shit...I cant wait to have it and watch streaming high-definition movies on it...not to mention download a ton of songs and software!!!
