What happens when you have a pile of scrap wood, some elcheapo drivers and some time to spare. Our part built transmission line speaker, the port was put in after this video was made, not massively heavy wood but it works fine for 20 watts per side, sounds 'expensive'. Thus design does push the very limits of just how thin you can make a TL box - dont think it would handle much more power then my sons basic setup..

  • good work ccw! be good to hear the result at some time! can't people understand that 24 watts thru them isn't gunna shake anything loose? i do get that this is an experiment on a low budget & with 2nd hand ply. i dunno how many times you're gonna have to repeat yourself! some of these dickheads must think you have to have a thousand watt amp to be able to hear it! ignore the -ve comments mate! i guarantee most of those guys have never built one.

  • @niftynev2005 Thanks for all that, yse I must do a follow up video - alas I better hurry up as my son got fed up of his car breaking down and has just bought himself a Prius (cos his dad has one and it never goes wrong), so I better hurry up before the car its in goes....

  • Great job in building this. Serious kuddos. The reason I say this is because about 2 months ago, I became inspired to create my own version of this transmission line, and after crafting it with cardboard, my initial idea was almost identical to your design. Weird..my transmission is vertical in nature, choking the aperture from a 5" to 2" with a possible bass reflex built inside the cabinet wired out of phase with around a 6" port. 2 - 5" with 1 - 2 1/2" tweeter...it's gonna be awesome.

  • гений просто, наделал сумасшедших лабиринтов из фанеры толщиной с бумагу )), интересно как он все эти ходы рассчитал...

  • crazy box

  • nai golqmata prostotiq ....( very stupid )

  • @chas99950 Too much damping to be a tuned pipe, tuned pipe would need to be stright, or with sweeping bends like a trumpet, not square corners.

  • Warum hast du nicht gleich pappe genommen?
