@theschuntz Lol, I've had my Droid X for about a year and a half, and the thing is a tank. I've dropped it dozens of times onto concrete, hardwood floor, and tile. However, after the 435098740987th drop, it has finally cracked. I'm not sure what kind of stress you are putting your phone through, but it can't be typical to the average consumer.

Thanks for the video. I always like to make sure I'm pulling stuff apart correctly (I was).

I was able to find out that enough lint was jammed into my headphone jack to insulate connectors after pulling it apart.

Droid X sucks and its a piece of shit phone, i have had mine since day one and i am on my 4th phone, im sick and tired of trading it for another, its to much work. STAY AWAY FROM DROID X AND MOTOROLA. you have been warned!!

Search key doesn't light up anymore, any idea how to fix this? I had to install adjbrightness and turn off the key lights cuz it was getting annoying.

This was very well done and provides all you need to do this replacement easily, then just play it slowly backwards to reassemble. Now, if only those T3 screws were not so small !!! Thanks Direct Fix.
