  • THIS TEST WAS UNFAIR AS I FOUND OUT MY X50 WAS BAD, I GOT IT CHANGED UNDER WARRENTY, AND THERE WAS A DIFFERENCE. PLEASE LOOK AT MY x50 2nd RUN VIDEO FOR THE REAL BATTLE.

  • how do you like your x50

  • love it

  • what kind of cop is that? lol is there a cop sitting in that car watching you go back and forth?

I own an X50, and when it comes down to it the v1 and the x50 are both top detectors. i researched the hell out of them before buying one. that cost difference is all in the arrows.

  • i have a radar gun and just placed it in my other car, in stationary mode, so basically if it were a cop u would get the same results of both radar detector

  • There was no conclusive evidence in favor of the V1. It did give an earlier warning by a couple seconds, but it was also a lazy ass warning that could easily have been mistaken for a false signal and ignored in a real-world situation. The 8500 was a couple seconds late, but it immediately yelled at the driver to slow his ass down. In the real-world, the driver is more likely to respond to the 8500 because it wasn't lazy with its initial warning.

  • Good point, though there is no falsing in this video, the reason i sold the VI because i was fed up with all the false alarms. Still both detectors are fantastic, but i kind of prefer the x50

  • I still like the V1 better, I had own the X50, lol but I still prefer the V1's arrows. Even though it gives lot of false alert, however, you will know which is true and which is false if you learn how to read it.. .

  • Valentine 1 is great but at nearly $500.00 I will take me chances on a 4 second difference for $200 bucks less.

  • @elninoloco7 not only may that be a clitch but lots of times other detectors leak and the v1 possibly was leaking and it was blocking the radar ? any thought on that possibly ?

  • she should put the x50 about 1 inch under the sun visor tint i your car and do the same.i think its to low in your video.

  • i need to get a valentine one

  • what waas wrong with it?

  • what do oyu like about the V1?

  • if you do alot if driving you should put it in auto mode for alot of driving

  • I have a V1 in my Zo6 and a 8500 in my CX7. Both give good warning. The V1 has better range and tells you how many and where the radar sources are. I sometimes go fast in my Z06 so I keep the best one in it. My Cx7 gets less duty time at speed so It gets the basic, but reliable, safety of the 8500. Imagine a ticket at double the speed limit, then you buy the best,V1. The 8500 is a great compromise. V1 on Logic mode 2 is damn near perfect all the time.

Too many falses on 8500 highway mode.

  • Ill stick with my V1 ive had it for 3 years and had it upgraded for about 70 dollars with shipping and got it back in a week.
