Thick Ice on Lake Minnetonka, MN.

Video drilling an ice-hole for ice fishing on beautiful Lake Minnetonka, just west of Minneapolis, MN. On Crystal Bay, in the town of Navarre. Ice was close to 3 feet thick, we drove the truck out there. You can tell there is no extension on my ice auger, as it is almost hitting the top of the ice while drilling. Toward the end the auger bogs down then punches thru the ice. It took a lot of control to hold onto the auger!

@trxexrider13 yah jiffys are really durable but im more of a strikemaster guy i just bought a strikemaster mag III plus 2hp with lazer blades not sure what year it is but it has metal handles so before they swicthed to plastic, It always starts up right away cuts really fast and dosent bog down or anything at the last layer of ice, my friend has a jiffy model 31 or something so were gonna race and put up a video of it soon! :)

dude im not referring to the auger in the vid, im referring to any 4 stroke, jiffy is a auger made to last, strike masters are weak and cant take the abuse a jiffy can i have a old model 30 and beat a brand new laser
