  • Tom Brokaw is clueless. He doesn't even hear what Arlo is saying. We didn't all disappear and get big houses and start companies. A lot of us raised our kids to be aware and awake, and have real family values, and know how to love. This long sound bite is a typical media throw-away. Arlo is an aware and very hip man.

  • I do love Arlo Guthrie. Have not missed a performance in moer than 20 years.

  • @MrFlashfly Semper fi!

  • arlo is the man

  • arlo has a lot of wisdom. : )

  • Well, I 'd have to say the protest movements ended because they were successful.

The vietnam war was stopped, eventually.only because of the protests.

And the civil-rights protests resulted in several civil-rights laws that ended segregation.

Those were the two main issues of the day.

But they never ended the american folly of the assumption of being dictator to the rest of the world: telling other countries what to do, and even what kind of governments they can have,

The govt is doing it still

  • I don't agree a lot with Arlo, but I find him to be an amazing figure and an all around nice guy.. He is the kind of liberal I could have a beer(s) with and discuss politics late into the night.. He is quite different from today's foaming at the mouth left wing radical.

  • I WANNA KILL! KILL! KILL! lol

  • @cjay2 be careful how you point the finger at people man. Brokaw didnt say that he believed that he said thats what joan biaze said.

  • Arlo said know when it's time to wake up again. Now!!!

  • AMAZING

  • We vets are still questioning that 'Dirty Little War'.
