@TheElectromagnet AC/DC Will be studied in 100 years time, but JB won't be. The reason why this music is studied today is the same reason why AC/DC will be studied: it's good music. It's just people's different opinion and likes or dislikes on each genre of music or piece. You saying it doesn't have any soul in it is your opinion. I'm 15 and I still study The Beatles in my GCSE course work, and I love it. It's more down to opinion than anything else.

Jeff, you are perfectly up front about this being a work in progress. As a professional musician and college music teacher, I am duly impressed with your technique and interpretation of one of my favorite pieces for cello or classical guitar (I studied it decades ago). I look forward to hearing a second version when you feel it has ripened. I wonder whether a slightly slower tempo might lend itself to greater clarity--the bass give a dense sound. Again, it is wonderful and inspiring. Bravo.

beautiful, but i prefere to play it more slowly, dynamically ;) but as always, you are some kind of a mentor

Great playing, but not used to this type of clean sound coming from a bass. Sounds almost like a synth to me.

u never know what will be played in future what with all the stuff made now;
only thing guaranteed in life is sods law, so they probably will play bieber and forget stuff like this if present trends of lazyness etc continue.

@TheElectromagnet Haha yeah because they will have much worse music to play! I like AC/DC though so im not saying thats not bad music:)
@Marilola75 I agree. And the bottom line is that while this type of music may not exude "soul" this crap is centuries old and is still being studied and played by people today. Nobody will playing "black and yellow" , Justin Bieber, or heck even AC/DC 100 years from now.

"This doesn't have soul" is just another way to say "I suck too much to play this" :D
