I think this is going to merge with the Real ID Act. If you look at the website you will see that the have the EDL as well. I don't think people are morons for associating this with the Real ID.

Hey retards those are not national id cards. WOW you morons. GO to post office those are called short visit passports. It make it easier to travel through. Cause of rfid crap. But this is just for canada mexico and carrribean travel. Get your head out of the gutter. If you want to travel elsewhere it requires the passport. Dont worry the Real Id Act of 2005, is real, and those are deadlining at december this year. If by may states dont comply there is no way for you to drive.

I just saw a national ID card commerical yesterday and i said to myself "oh shit, here we go". For those of you may not know and think to yourself "oh that might be cool to have", THINK AGAIN!, do research and find out how seriously BAD it will be when people get it.

yeah well they do not say its mandatory, but if you refuse to obtain one of these ID's you will not be able to get a bank account, enter an airport or government building. Oh well I guess the banks will have to collapse as well as the travel industry because I'm boycotting this and I encourage everyone else to as well.
