Vancouver Canucks 2009 Playoff Intro - Requiem for a Dream

Game 1 of the Western Conference Semi-finals. The Vancouver Canucks open the second round against the Chicago Blackhawks. I thought I'd share what it was like to be at General Motors Place. I was seating in Section 322, Row 7. The video you see shows pictures of the current 2008-2009 Canucks roster from the past in their minor and junior hockey leagues to the present in their Cup run. After the tribute, you'll see "Towel Power", followed by the entrance of the Vancouver Canucks.

Canucks fans wouldn't know what atmosphere was if it bit them in the ass. Quietest arena in the league, no matter if it's the regular season or playoffs.

The Canada/Russia junior game at GM Place in 07 was louder.
