yeah, I know which bikes compete in which classes, but you wrote open class(250). so I wondered how he rides a 4 stroke 250 in open class.

No he rides a 450 4 stroke. But when the 4 strokes first came out you could race a 450 4 stroke against a 250 2 stroke in the same class. You can also race a 250 4 stroke against a 125 2 stroke. 2005 was pretty much the last year they used 2 strokes in supercross after that they all used 4 strokes. Thats why its called supercross class and supercross lites which used to be called 250 class and 125 class respectively if that makes any sense

he changed his number in 2006 the first year most people started riding 4 strokes in the open class(250). He changed it because it is his lucky number and he entitled to a single digit number and for a new begining. He used to be 259 because that was another black rider cant think of his name but you can see him in this film clip in the wheel chair he hurt himself on a bike so buuba did it in his honour just incase you wanted to know
