If you still care, what that bit of lyric (and the whole song, really)refers to is finding a sense of purpose, and a sense of place in life, in taking on burdens and making sacrifices in the support/defense of others. In being selfless, stoic and brave, finding a new sense of connection to God and life.

Being "winterborn" refers to being destined to endure hardship.

The Kildar brought me to the Electric and eventually i came to acoustic version and both are great its tough to pick just one version i like best
