There is obviously something wrong...my dog got extremely worried and freaked out when he heard this video

@RRRidgeback Why would he be guessing? I have had a lot of dogs and I would also suspect something stuck on their tongues, or between theeth. This would be a textbook behavior for it. Of course it can be just the air-biting.

Looks like the dog has some sort of tape, perhaps vinyl stuck on his tongue. Something stuck that is not right and he is trying to tell his loved ones.
One can learn from their pets... as we grow older and in events when our communication is lessened... we can appreciate, respect, understand.. perhaps a little better.

You must be joking right? There is no vinyl on his tongue. Do a search on dogs licking the air, it's not really that uncommon.

How old is he here? And what's all the licking about?

He is about 6 months here. He's a year and a half now, and has since stopped licking the air. We aren't really sure what all the licking was about....teething maybe?
